DEVELOPING STUDENTS' SPEAKING SKILL THROUGH STORY COMPLETION

        Learning English as a foreign language has become a priority for everyone due to the needs of today’s era which require someone to be mastered English language, it is because learners who was good at speaking English can have greater chance for better education, findings good job, and getting promotion. However, it is not easy to be mastered in English language. When student learning English, Speaking is one of the main subject that has to be mastered by students. English language is the international language which means it is use for people to communicate with other people in another country. So, in order to communicate well with other people, learners should be aware with their pronunciation so the listener can understand what they said.

        Developing student's speaking skill through story completion  was an article write by Waode Hamsia. this article was discuss about the implementation of story completion. furthermore, This research was aimed to describe development students’ speaking ability through story completion. Descriptive qualitative was applied as the method of the research while the observation was conducted to obtain the data to answer the first research about how are the implementation of story completion. The result showed that the technique of story completion was successfully implemented to improve students’ speaking skill.

        In a brief, The goal of teaching speaking is to make an interactive communication. It means learners are expected to make themselves understood in their capacity as a whole. by using creative strategies students are motivated. this article was using story completion, and it success cause Story Completion is very enjoyable in free-speaking activity where students sit in a circle. The technique can make students to encourage themselves to speak up. They have to be brave and have enough self-confident when they want to talk something. this teaching method is one of the beast strategy to improve students speaking skill.
